What would they hang at home?

If this is a gift, the pictures already on their walls are a useful clue. Someone who likes quiet, light artwork may lean toward watercolor. Rich landscapes might point you toward oil; graphic prints toward Vintage Golf Poster.

For your own portrait, choose the version you keep coming back to. You’ll see it applied to your course in the free preview, so you can decide from the actual picture.

Questions about painting styles

Are these physical oil paintings or watercolors?

These are digital painting styles, supplied as fine-art prints or framed prints. The names describe the look of the artwork, rather than paint applied to the finished print.

Which style should I choose for a gift?

Look at the recipient’s home and the art they enjoy. If you’re unsure, choose a direction from the examples and review the finished preview before deciding to buy.

Will my own course work in every style?

Different scenes suit different treatments. The examples help you choose a direction; your finished preview shows how that direction works with your reference.

Do I have to pay before seeing my portrait?

No. You see a finished watermarked preview before paying, and approve the final proof before anything prints.
